Ansel Adams was born on February 20th 1902 in San Fransisco California. Growing up his father and aunt tutored him because of his inability to fit in at school. Due to this he turned to nature and playing the piano. He taught himself to read sheet music and after years this became his primary occupation. The Sierra Club was a vital source of Adams success in the photography world because it gave him the opportunity to travel.
In 1977 he produced his first fully visualized photograph called the Monolith, the face of half dome which lead to the creation of his first portfolio. Although he was super successful he would write letters to Weston which explained how he was broke and struggling to make a living. Shortly after Adams created the "zone System" which became famous because of the way it allowed photographers to visualize an image and take the picture and have it match the expressed visualization from the ability to control the relating exposure and development. I chose this picture because it shows that he used slow shutter speed to
capture the gracefulness of the waterfall. The way the light hits the
water in some places emphasizes the colors in black and white.

Found Panoramics
I like this picture because it captures the length of the waves and the pictures blend together really well.
I love this picture because it shows both sides of the field and you can picture yourself sitting in the stands and watching a soccer game.

Meet Plank and Frank. They're brothers who went on a long journey from the tippy top of the mountain and ended up at the bottom and now live on the Newberg High School campus. So let me tell you about their journey. Ever since Plank and Frank were in the stomach of the tree they came from, they were very close. One day they were parted from the mama tree and were put on a big truck. They were always whistling "she'll be coming around the mountain". That was their favorite song. In fact they whistled it so much their faces were stuck making it look like they were whistling! When they got to the bottom of the mountain they were put on the Newberg High School campus where they were introduced to their new job. Aside from whistling catchy tunes, Plank and Frank are good for holding food, drinks and anything else students want to put on them. They're surrounded not only by their brothers and sisters on the table but with the family of students that attend Newberg High School.
